Entering Poland without a passport: details

Demchenko recommends that anyone planning to travel to Poland should have a passport with them. And even if you don't have one now, it's better to get one before you travel.

❗️It is known that starting April 1, it will cost more to issue a passport. Read here to find out what the new price is.

According to a spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service, the Polish side may make an exception and let a person with an internal passport through, but this requires an important reason, for example, if the Ukrainian is in the frontline zone and fleeing the war.

It should also be understood that this process may take time, as Polish border guards may contact their colleagues from other countries. This should be taken into account when planning a trip to Poland, in particular, if you buy train or bus tickets.

We remind you! The Polish government proposes to change the conditions for granting temporary protection to refugees from Ukraine. Read more about the proposed system of obtaining a temporary residence permit and the abolition of the free accommodation program in the new special law in this article.
