On April 1, 2024, the cost of issuing a foreign passport in Ukraine increased. According to the State Migration Service, this is due to the fact that the State Enterprise "Printing Plant "Ukraine" is changing the cost of forms, so the total cost of issuing the relevant document will also increase.

Please note! Ukraine is planning to introduce new rules for men abroad that will make it more difficult to obtain a passport outside the country. Read more here.

How much does a passport cost in 2024?

The cost of a passport for traveling abroad depends on the time of issuance. Prices valid from April 1, 2024:

– "urgent" passport for traveling abroad (up to 7 working days and up to 3 working days if there are grounds) - costs UAH 1,598 (UAH 992 - the cost of administrative services, UAH 606 - the cost of the form);

– "non-urgent" passport (up to 20 working days) - UAH 958 (UAH 352 - the cost of the administrative service, UAH 606 - the cost of the form).

It is noted that citizens of Ukraine who have paid for administrative services and submitted applications for documents before 31.03.2024 will receive documents at the old price.

However, persons who have paid for administrative services before 31.03.2024 but have not yet submitted an application for documents will be able to pay an additional fee at the rates in effect at the time of submission of the relevant applications.

Mandatory conditions for leaving Ukraine in 2024

Remember! Despite the simplification of exit procedures due to martial law, an insurance policy may be checked when crossing the border of any country, so Ukrainian citizens must have an appropriate insurance policy to leave. In addition to helping you get high-quality medical care outside the country in case of injury, illness, or accident, travel insurance will save your own money in an unforeseen situation, such as a flight delay or loss of luggage at the airport.

You can buy travel insurance on the Visit Ukraine website. Follow the link and apply for a policy with optimal coverage for the required period.

If you plan to leave Ukraine by car, you will need to have an international insurance policy "Green Card", which is mandatory in 50 countries. You can buy car insurance for your stay abroad here.

We remind you! Under martial law, Ukrainian women can safely travel abroad. However, in some cases, they may be denied permission to do so. Read our previous article to find out what are the most common reasons for refusing to allow Ukrainian women to travel abroad.
