It is also safe to assume that the number of tourists will be higher in 2024, because the popularity of Ukraine among foreigners is growing.

However, in closed airspace, traveling to Ukraine has its own characteristics. It is also necessary to observe certain safety rules during the trip.

Rules of entry for citizens of Israel to Ukraine in 2024

Visa is not required. Citizens of Israel have the right to stay in Ukraine without a visa for up to 90 days, if the purpose of the trip is tourism, visiting relatives, treatment, etc.

If the duration of your stay exceeds 90 days or you plan to work or study in Ukraine, then before traveling you need to apply for a long-term visa (type "D") at the Ukrainian embassy or consulate in Israel. It is better to start the procedure at least 3 months before the planned trip.

Importantly! In June 2024, Israel announced the introduction of an ETA-IL permit for Ukrainians to stay in the country for up to 90 days. In response to such Israeli actions, Ukraine promised to introduce its own restrictions for Israeli citizens. The new rules were supposed to affect thousands of people who visit Ukraine every year.

However, Tel Aviv later officially announced that it would postpone the introduction of ETA-IL for Ukrainians until 2025. In connection with this, the Ukrainian side has not yet taken measures in response. So, as of November 2024, Israeli citizens can enter Ukraine without any complications. However, in 2025, we advise you to monitor the situation and check the current entry rules when planning a trip to Ukraine.
