Ukrainian tourists have the right to enter the territory of Spain only if they are fully vaccinated.
The country recognizes all vaccines approved by WHO: AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Janssen, Moderna (Spikevax), Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty), Covishield (Serum Institute of India), Sinopharm, Sinovac, Covovax, Nuvaxovid (Novavax). At least 14 days must elapse since the last dose of the vaccine (the day of vaccination is considered zero), but no more than 270 days. After that, the certificate must contain information about the presence of a "booster" dose.
Proof of vaccination must be provided in the form of a COVID certificate with a QR code in digital or paper form. A paper international certificate of vaccination from a doctor does not allow free entry into Spain.
Such citizens do not require additional tests and quarantine.
Children under 12 years old can enter with fully vaccinated parents.
But according to the changed rules, from February 14, unvaccinated tourists under 18 years of age can enter for tourism purposes. At the same time, children from 12 to 18 years old must have a negative PCR test done within 72 hours before arrival.
Before traveling to Spain (including children of any age, transit travelers and returning home residents of Spain), it is necessary to fill out the FCS Health Control Form and receive a QR code, which will need to be presented both upon boarding and upon arrival in Spain at the sanitary control.
Unvaccinated citizens may enter Spain if they meet one of the following categories:
– residents of the European Union, associated states of Schengen, Andorra, Monaco, Vatican City (Holy See) or San Marino, who travel to this country, documenting this.
– holders of a long-stay visa issued by a Member State or an associated Schengen State who travel to that country.
– healthcare workers, including health researchers, and aged care professionals who are traveling or returning from their work.
– transport, marine and aviation personnel necessary for the implementation of air traffic.
– diplomatic, consular, international, military, civilian protection persons and members of humanitarian organizations in the performance of their functions.
– students studying in Spain or another EU or Schengen country and who have the appropriate study permit or visa and health insurance, who are exclusively sent to the country where the study is to take place, and if entry occurs during the academic course or not earlier than 15 days before it starts. In the event that the country of destination is Spain and the duration of stay does not exceed 90 days, confirmation is required that the training will take place in an educational institution authorized in Spain and registered in the relevant administrative register, and the training course is implemented full-time and full-time and provides for a diploma or certificate.
– persons traveling for duly accredited urgent family reasons (severe illness, funeral, etc.).
– people traveling due to force majeure or need, or whose entry is allowed for humanitarian reasons, which confirms this with documents.
– passengers who are single partners of Spanish citizens. They must have proof of their relationship issued by the Spanish consulate.
Unvaccinated Ukrainians who are allowed entry must have:
– a negative rapid test for the COVID-19 antigen, taken no more than 24 hours before arrival; or
– a negative NAAT test for COVID-19 taken within 72 hours prior to arrival. The following tests are accepted: CRISPR, HAD, LAMP, NEAR, PCR, RT-LAMP, RT-PCR, SDA and TMA.
Test results must be in English, French, German, Spanish or accompanied by a certified Spanish translation.
Tests are not required for children under 12 years of age.
All passengers are subject to sanitary control at the first point of entry, which includes, at a minimum, document checks, visual inspections and non-contact temperature measurements.
For visa-free entry to Spain, you need to have a valid biometric passport, the validity of which must be at least three months from the end of the trip, and take out a health insurance policy for the entire stay in the country.
