About this tour
The Volyn region attracts everyone with the unique beauty of its enchanting nature, pristine forests, blue-eyed lakes, diverse, sometimes unique monuments of antiquity, and the latest architectural complexes.
During the tour, you will visit the city of Lutsk - the last capital of the Galicia-Volyn principality.
Many architectural monuments of the 17th-19th centuries have been preserved in the Old Town, such as the church of St. Peter and Paul, the Intercession Church, a synagogue and a modern castle building with chimaeras.
But the most ancient and majestic is the Lutskyi Castle, founded in the 12th century. Lithuanian prince Lubart, on whose territory there is a museum of bells. In 2011, the castle took first place in the "7 Wonders of Ukraine" campaign. Lubart Castle is depicted on 200 hryvnias.
Excursionists will familiarize themselves with samples of equipment in the Volyn Regional Museum of the Ukrainian Army and Military Equipment.
The special pride of Lutsk is the name of a gentle romantic woman, the talented poetess Lesya Ukrainka.
