About this tour

Excursion to the High Castle Park.

The High Castle is not only the name of the park, but also the highest hill in Lviv, which has been attracting tourists for a long time. Walking up the stairs from the bus parking lot, we look at the ruins of the old castle.

Having climbed the mountain (approximately 150 meters above the city center), we will begin to get to know Lviv from a bird's eye view. From here you can see the Old Town with the Town Hall in the center, houses of famous Lviv residents, churches built in different styles and at different times. In the summer, you can see how Lviv is filled with green parks and squares, and in the winter (in good weather), snow covers the old stone streets like a white blanket. Some industrial facilities and new sleeping areas of the city are also visible. On the horizon, the outlines of the Railway Station, the football stadium "Arena Lviv" and even some suburban villages are also visible.

After enjoying the panorama of the city, at the request of tourists, you can also take a walk in the park surrounding the mountain. Here you can see a memorial sign in honor of Maxim Krivonos, one of the most successful Cossack leaders. In 1648, the royal High Castle was taken under his command. A little further on, in honor of King Jan III Sobieski, a great commander and lyricist, at the end of the 19th century. An interesting memorial stone was installed.

Walking through the park, you can come across the gardener's house and an artificial cave located nearby. Once upon a time there was another castle above the cave, of which not a trace remained from those ancient stormy times...
