How can Columbian citizens obtain a temporary residence permit in Ukraine?
Foreign nationals, including from Colombia, can apply for a temporary residence permit in Ukraine if they meet one of the legal grounds. This permit allows them to legally stay in Ukraine for one year with the possibility of renewal.
Main grounds for obtaining a temporary residence permit
Columbian citizens are eligible to apply for a temporary residence permit if:
1. A Columbian citizen is a founder, participant or beneficial owner of a Ukrainian legal entity registered in the Unified State Register. The share in the authorized capital must be at least 100,000 euros according to the official exchange rate of the NBU on the date of investment.
2. A Columbian citizen has arrived in Ukraine for the purpose of studying. The permit is valid for the entire period of study.
3. A Columbian citizen has arrived to reunite with a Ukrainian citizen family member or has entered into a marriage with a Ukrainian citizen while legally residing in Ukraine.
4. A Columbian citizen has provided military-technical or medical assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine or other units in combat zones, or has participated in repelling the armed aggression of the Russian Federation. In such cases, the permit remains valid even if the passport expires — until the end of the temporary occupation.
