IDP students and residents of TOT are transferred in higher education institutions to a budget form of education
Students who have the status of IDPs, as well as those who are currently in the Ukrainian territories temporarily occupied by Russia, are offered to be transferred to a budget form of education at universities. The government has adopted a relevant resolution. It was developed on the instructions of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskiy, the Ministry of Reintegration reports.
According to the document, it is proposed to transfer the following categories of students to study with state funds:
- students who live in the temporarily occupied territory, the territory of military (combat) operations or are under temporary occupation, encirclement (blockade);
- students with the status of internally displaced persons;
Also, the opportunity to study with budget funds will be available to the children of fallen defenders of Ukraine, as well as to participants in hostilities, persons disabled as a result of the war and their children.
In addition, the document should define the mechanism for transferring these students from the contractual form of education to the budgetary one.
Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Iryna Vereshchuk emphasized that the resolution should be adopted as soon as possible.
