Power outages in Kyiv: YASNO chatbot will notify about the occurrence of an energy alarm

A chatbot has been launched in Kyiv, in which residents of the capital will be able to receive notifications about the occurrence of an energy alarm, which will mean the appearance of a risk of temporary disconnection and, accordingly, about the elimination of problems in the network. This was reported by the Kyiv City State Administration press service.
You can find a chatbot through a search in the Telegram messenger, by entering YASNO-online in the search engine, or by following the link.
YASNO explains that there are currently two types of outages:
1. Extreme emergency shutdowns, they are used in the event of attacks on energy infrastructure facilities. In this case, there are no clear timetables or blackout queues. Residents will be encouraged to include an approximate list of streets with each notification of this type of energy alarm.
2. Stabilizing outages – in the event that there is a need to balance the power system, Ukrenergo issues an instruction to distribution system operators to limit power supply. In this case, to understand when there will be no electricity at your address, use the outage schedules published on the website of DTEK "Kyiv Electric Power".
By setting up notifications, Kyiv residents will receive notifications about the occurrence of an energy alarm, which will mean the risk of a temporary shutdown and, accordingly, the elimination of problems in the network.
When you receive a message about a possible disconnection, you should limit electricity consumption as much as possible by turning off energy-intensive appliances: boiler, washing machine, heaters, air conditioners, dishwasher, electric stove. Such measures can help avoid the need for power outages.
In order to set up receiving notifications, you need to open the "Possible outages" item in the main menu of the chatbot and select the "Subscribe to notifications" item.
