For citizens of Ukraine deported to the Russian Federation, the return home will be simplified and accelerated. For this purpose, the Ministry of Reintegration together with the Cabinet of Ministers, the State Migration Service and the Ministry of Internal Affairs introduced an experimental project that will last for a year. This was announced by the head of the Ministry of Reintegration, Iryna Vereshchuk.

New rules for the return of Ukrainians deported to the Russia

Ukrainians who were deported to Russia without documents will be able to issue an identity card to return to the Motherland without their presence.

From now on, the identity card of the person who was deported to the Russian Federation will be issued by the bodies of the migration service.

This can be done on the basis of an application:

• one of the parents or other legal representative of a person at the age of 18;

• one of the parents;

• spouse;

• an adult child;

• sibling;

• official appeal of the Ministry of Reintegration.

The certificate is prepared free of charge within 5 days and is valid for up to 3 months. Then the authorities of the State Immigration Service transfer it to a legal representative, a family member or send it to the Ministry of Reintegration for further transfer to someone who found himself abroad without documents.

"This is another innovation aimed at making it easier for our compatriots to return home", - the head of the Ministry of Reintegration emphasized.

As you know, previously, identity cards for return were issued only by diplomatic missions and consular institutions of Ukraine on the basis of a personal request of the applicant or an appeal by his legal representatives.
