In connection with the full-scale war in Ukraine, in the territories temporarily controlled by the occupiers or where active hostilities are taking place, state institutions, including units of the migration services, have been suspended. In this case, citizens may face problems obtaining passports. We tell you how to pick up a ready-made passport, not at the place of its order.

The problem with the closed divisions of the State Migration Service is relevant, therefore, according to the Ministry of Reintegration, the government has regulated the mechanism for issuing ready-made, but not received passports in cities where citizens had to be evacuated due to the war.

So, from November 17, Ukrainians will be able to get their passports in other regional divisions of the State Migration Service. Finished documents will be sent for issuance from one territorial division of the State Migration Service to another within Ukraine, as well as abroad.

Abroad, citizens of Ukraine will be able to pick up ready-made documents at the institutions of diplomatic institutions or a separate division of the State Enterprise “Document”.

What is required to obtain a completed passport?

• choose a territorial division of the State Migration Service that is convenient for you, and if you are abroad - a diplomatic institution or a separate division of the State Enterprise “Document”;

• personally submit an application in any form for obtaining passport documents;

• expect notification from the territorial division of the State Migration Service of your choice, a foreign diplomatic institution or SE “Document” about the arrival of your document there.

Pay attention! The applicant should apply to the consular division of the Embassy with a corresponding written application, to which a copy of the document certifying his identity must be attached.

After receiving the application, the Embassy sends a copy of it together with a cover letter to the territorial unit of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which transfers the issued passport to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The delivery of the passport to the Embassy is carried out by means of diplomatic mail, the frequency of which is on average from 3 months.

Please note that the passport delivered to the Embassy can be obtained only in the presence of the applicant or his legal representative (for children under 16 years of age).

How to get a document for a child from 14 to 18 years old?

For registration and issuance of the first passport of a citizen of Ukraine, children of the above age can apply to any department of the State Migration Service, Center for the provision of administrative services or State Enterprise "Document", where it is convenient and safe to get to.

Where to apply for the first passport or international passport from the age of 18?

Note that the first document from the age of 18 can only be ordered from the State Migration Service. The first passport of a citizen of Ukraine from the age of 18 is free.

What documents will you have to pay for:

• Passport of a citizen of Ukraine in the form of an ID-card:

1. Production within 20 working days - the cost is 450 UAH;

2. Within 10 working days - 820 UAH.

• Passport for travel abroad:

1. Within 20 working days - 856 UAH;

2. Within 10 working days - 1496 UAH.

• Certificates for permanent and temporary residence are issued within 15 working days. The cost is respectively UAH 1013 (for permanent residence) and UAH 1258 (for temporary residence).
