According to the law of Ukraine, the mother and father must register the newborn child within 3 months. The Ministry of Reintegration has explained how to act to parents who are registered in the temporarily occupied territory (TOT).

The agency emphasized that such registration rules do not apply to all occupied territories.

In particular, if the parents are registered in the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk, Luhansk regions, the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, it will not be possible to register a newborn child with them.

How to register a newborn child if the parents are registered at TOT?

The place of residence of a child under 10 years of age is the place of registration of his parents (adoptive parents or guardian). Therefore, it can be registered only at the address of the father or mother. At the same time, the consent of the owner or other persons living in such housing is not required.

It is noted that parents can declare their new place of residence without removing the previous one from registration. And after that register the child. You can get such a service electronically through the "Diia" portal.

Pay attention! The home must be listed on the Real Estate Registry and the property must not be in a mortgage or trust.

We will remind you that we previously wrote that internally displaced persons (IDPs) who moved after February 24, 2022, from a settlement in the area of military (combat) operations, occupation, encirclement and issued an IDP certificate, have the full right to issue the same certificate for their newborn babies Read about how to do this in our article at the link.
