Tickets to Finland are almost free: how to get what documents are required
A Finnish airline offers refugees from Ukraine the opportunity to purchase airline tickets at a 95% discount. Find out how to take advantage of the offer and on which flights the discount applies
The Finnish airline shows solidarity with Ukrainians and gives refugees the opportunity to fly to Helsinki from Poland, Hungary and the Czech Republic by purchasing airline tickets with a 95% discount. We tell you how and where to use the offer.
How to buy discounted tickets?
Go to finnair.com, specify the city of departure, destination and enter the promo code UKRAINE95.
Which flights are discounted?
Planes will depart from the airports of the following cities:
• Warsaw;
• Krakow;
• Budapest;
• Prague.
We would like to add that you can buy tickets with a discount only for economy class flights. For example, a ticket from Poland with a discount costs 115 zlotys (977 hryvnias). The offer is valid until the end of February 2023.
Necessary documents for an air flight
For a flight to Finland, it is enough to have an internal passport of a citizen of Ukraine, and for children - a birth certificate. If you have a biometric international passport, you can use it.
Evacuation to Finland
Last month, the Finnish government announced that it was ready to accept a new wave of refugees from Ukraine. The Migration Service of Finland is making efforts to prepare places for Ukrainians to live, as the number of people willing to evacuate is increasing due to shelling of energy infrastructure facilities.
