Employment in Germany: what specialists are needed, learning the language and where to look for a job

Ukrainians who want to move to Germany or stay in the country after the war are interested in employment. In Germany, as in other countries, certain professions are in demand, while other professionals cannot find work.
The portal SchengenVisaInfo.com has published data, according to which the greatest need is in the fields of science, technology and health care.
Specialists are divided into three categories, depending on the level of qualification:
• Experts with higher education (at least four years of study);
• Highly qualified specialists who studied for at least two years;
• Specialists with technical education.
Experts with higher education. With this level of training, Germany will happily employ:
• Doctors who specialize in internal diseases;
• doctors specializing in anesthesiology;
• emergency medical doctors;
• pharmacists;
• specialists in software development;
• lawyers.
Among highly qualified specialists, Germany invites specialists from:
• Underground works and construction of wells;
• maintenance and installation of electrical circuits;
• plumbing, heating and air conditioning;
• care for the elderly.
Among specialists with a technical education, you can easily find a job:
• Specialists in tax consulting;
• physiotherapists;
• occupational therapists;
• speech therapists;
• specialists who supervise the execution of underground and plumbing works, air conditioning.
How to find jobs in Germany?
1. The employment agency in your region will consult you and tell you what kind of work you can get. On the website, you will find a job exchange (Jobbörse) and search for vacancies there;
2. Special resources such as monster.de, stepstone.de, jobbörse.de, adzuna.de and Make-it-in-Germany.de;
2. Social networks. You can also search for a job on Linkedin and Xing.

Where to learn German?
In order to find a job, Ukrainians need to speak German. Currently, it is possible to attend free state language courses. You can also use free apps or online resources such as Babbel, Jicki, Hallo.
