Since 2018, Visit Ukraine's team has been promoting and popularizing Ukrainian tourism in the country and abroad. However, after the outbreak of the war unleashed by russia, we started working on the information front. How have we helped and continue to help Ukrainians during this time? Let us tell you:
Since February 24, 2022, Visit Ukraine has provided online consultations to more than 200 thousand people, and more than 12 million users have used the information on the portal, a quarter of them foreigners.
Of course, we do not forget about the military. During the war, the company's assistance to the country's military needs amounted to more than UAH 1 million.
On November 18, Visit Ukraine initiated the #LibertyLight charity fundraiser to help Ukrainians survive the winter amid russian attacks on the country's critical infrastructure.
Thanks to donations from all over the world, we managed to raise more than 200 thousand hryvnias for flashlights, warm blankets and comfortable seats for underground shelters.
Payments came from:
• Great Britain;
• The Netherlands;
• Saudi Arabia;
• New Zealand;
Where was the aid transferred?
🔹1000 tourist seats were donated to the Kyiv Metro;
🔹2000 tourist seats - transferred to the needs of the Baryshiv community (Kyiv region) to equip local bomb shelters and an IDP center;
🔹100 blankets and 200 flashlights - donated to the State Emergency Service for the needs of the resilience centers.
