Fast and comfortable: Flights to a country neighboring Ukraine + train or bus

The most popular option among tourists is to fly to an airport in a country sharing a border with Ukraine. After that, you need to transfer to ground transport – train or bus.

• Portugal-Poland. Many airlines fly from Portuguese airports to Poland, including Wizz Air, Ryanair, EasyJet, and Vueling. The average cost of a one-way ticket is $100, but consider that prices depend on the season.

• Portugal-Moldova. There are flights to Chisinau from Lisbon, Porto, Faro, and Madeira. The cheapest tickets in November stand from $105 one way.

• Portugal-Hungary. You can find a ticket to Hungary even for $70. To travel sparingly, choose a non-tourist season. Ryanair and Wizz Air fly to Hungarian cities, so it will be easy to find a ticket at a reasonable price. Let's add that tourists can reach Budapest and Debrecen by plane.

• Portugal-Austria. You can fly to Vienna, Salzburg, or Innsbruck from Porto, Lisbon, or Faro. Ticket prices start at $80 if you choose a low-cost company such as Ryanair.

• Portugal-Slovakia. Search for cheap tickets from Lisbon, Porto, Faro, and Madeira to Bratislava and Kosice. Please note the absence of direct connections, so companies offer flights with a transfer.

After arriving in a European city, you need to transfer and continue heading to Ukraine. Tourists can choose between railway and bus transport.
