russia's invasion of Ukraine, the escalating conflict between the US, Israel, and Iran, and tensions between the United States and China are increasingly worrying people around the world about the threat of World War III. Find out which countries could be a safe haven for people in the event of a global war
Unfortunately, in the light of recent events, we hear more and more often that the crises and intense military conflicts around the world may indicate that we are on the verge of World War III. And although experts emphasize that it is in the interests of the entire planet to prevent such a development, people are experiencing considerable tension and are thinking about where to seek refuge in the event of a global war.
Which countries could potentially become safe havens for people, given their location, preparation, resources, and historical context?

Would a neutral Switzerland survive in the event of World War III?
It would probably be hard to surprise anyone with the fact that Switzerland is currently considered one of the safest countries in the world, given its economic, political and social stability. The 200 years of Swiss neutrality were shaken only by russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, forcing the country to show its support for the Ukrainian people.
But can Switzerland become a reliable and safe place in the event of a global war?
Experts believe that the country is well protected due to its geographical location and landscape. After all, the mountainous terrain will protect it from invasion, and the bridges connecting the country to other regions can be simply blown up. In addition, it is important to note that Switzerland has a sufficient number of equipped shelters to protect the population even from a nuclear strike.
However, there is a major counter-argument that suggests that Switzerland is not the best option for escaping World War III. According to the unanimous opinion of experts, in order to escape from a global war, it is better to choose countries as far away from the United States, China, russia and Europe in particular as possible, because these places may be the main focus of hostilities. In addition, Switzerland is highly dependent on food imports, as its soil is not very fertile.
How to escape from World War III: safe countries
New Zealand and Australia
New Zealand and Australia could become some of the safest places on the planet in the event of a Third World War. They are surrounded by water on all sides, have a temperate climate, and, very importantly, New Zealand has no deep-water ports that could be used by enemy forces for attack and logistical purposes. However, it should be noted that these two countries are also dependent on imports, although the local climate allows them to grow their own crops.

Indonesia
The Indonesian islands are a quiet and relatively safe place to survive in the event of a global war. It is also important that the islands have a well-developed agricultural sector, so Indonesia will not suffer from hunger if imports are cut off.
By the way, real estate in Indonesia is relatively inexpensive, so you can think about your own "safety island" in the event of a global crisis or war by purchasing a house on the island. One of the most profitable options, according to experts, is to buy real estate in Bali, because this area will not only be relatively safe in the event of World War III, but also more or less protected from external influences and disasters that occur in other regions of Indonesia.

South America
The southern part of America, for example, Chile or Argentina, are quite isolated from the outside world, and therefore these regions will not be considered as a target in the event of a global war. In addition, South America has no external conflicts, and therefore is unlikely to engage in combat for anyone's interests.
It is also worth noting that these regions are ideal for "disappearing" and living solely off the land.
Antarctica
No matter how hard it may be to imagine life on the icy depths, the territory of Antarctica could probably be a salvation from the Third World War. By the way, tourism on the icy island is quite developed despite the complex logistics and cost of such trips.
However, it should be noted that it will be possible to escape here only at first, as it will be extremely difficult to provide food on the icy continent.
