Ukrzaliznytsia launches ticket ordering service for military: how to book
UZ introduces new functionality aimed at facilitating the process of obtaining tickets for military personnel. Find out more about how the military can now conveniently and quickly order tickets online
Ukrzaliznytsia is introducing a new service for military personnel, which provides for the possibility of special ticket ordering. This service will be available through the official portal.
UZ launches ticket ordering service for military personnel: what is known
The website will allow military personnel to book tickets online in cases where they are not available for general sale. This innovation will allow them to obtain a travel document even if the trip arises suddenly, for example, for medical treatment, business trips or to visit relatives on vacation.

Applications for tickets can be submitted on the portal no later than six hours before the train departure. After that, servicemen will be sent a special code to the specified email address.
You will need to get the ticket at the ticket office no later than one hour before the train departure, and you must present a military ID or an officer's ID.

Which routes are affected by the update?
The special ticket order applies to 17 most popular trains among military personnel, including those going to cities close to the combat zone and back.
It is important to note that servicemen can now reserve tickets for themselves and for their comrades with whom they plan to travel.
Previously, servicemen could only book tickets through a military commandant, which significantly complicated the process and made spontaneous travel impossible: they had to visit the military commandant in person and then go to the train station to buy a ticket.
We remind you! Earlier, we wrote that UZ plans to increase the cost of tickets for international routes. The decision was made as a result of large losses incurred by Ukrzaliznytsia as a result of passenger transportation. The simultaneous stay of visitors in the hotel lobby not more than one person per 10 square meters of serviceable area is allowed.
Persons can visit hotels and stay there (outside hotel room) only if they wear respirator or face mask (including homemade mask), so that the nose and mouth are covered.
Hotel guests are obliged to keep the 1.5 meters distance.
Online check-in making in advance is recommended to avoid queues at check-in to hotel.
Meals in hotels are provided through meals delivery service to rooms upon prior order or at hotel restaurants situated inside or in open areas, provided the distance of at least 1.5 meters between seats at adjacent tables.
Not more than 4 clients are allowed to stay at the table (excluding children under 14 years old). Unless these tables are separated by a special partition;
