The Kyiv authorities have decided to compensate for the cost of travel for passengers who have to transfer between Lybidska and Teremky stations. The corresponding initiative was approved by the Kyiv City Council, according to the KPT management.

"The Standing Committee on Transport, Communications, and Advertising of the Kyiv City Council supported the draft decision on the organization of fares on temporary routes between Lybidska and Teremky metro stations," the statement said.

Part of Kyiv is now without a subway: what happened to the blue line of the Kyiv metro - read here.

Kyiv residents will be refunded for traveling from Teremky to Lybidska

It is noted that as for the holders of Kyiv Digital transport cards, they will be charged only one trip if they are forced to make transfers due to an accident on the Lybidska-Demiivska section. The money for further trips will be automatically returned to the transport card, including the virtual one, when using the subway or temporary bus routes.

However, it is important to note that in case of payment by bank card, papas or QR-code, no compensation is provided. In this case, passengers will have to pay in another way.

Kyiv plans to launch a free bus from the Lybidska metro station to Teremky

At the same time, Kyiv is considering the possibility of introducing a single ticket or launching a free bus connecting Lybidska and Teremky metro stations. This was reported by Kyiv City Council member Dmytro Bilotserkovets in a commentary for RBC-Ukraine.

He emphasized that the main focus is currently on the comfort of the city's residents and that such an initiative is technically feasible.

It is worth noting that in order to improve the transport organization and provide passengers with convenience between Lybidska and Teremky stations, the relevant decisions should be approved in the next few days.

We remind you!
In connection with the temporary suspension of the blue line of the Kyiv metro, the Kyiv City State Administration has taken measures to ensure efficient transportation for city residents. In particular, new ground routes for buses and trolleybuses have been introduced to provide connections between Demiivska and Teremky stations. Read more about the bus schedule in our article.
