Wizz Air plans to cancel more than 20 routes from Poland, as well as some other European countries. This was reported by yavp.pl.

The reason for this reduction was difficulties with the maintenance of Pratt & Whitney engines on Airbus A320neo and A321neo aircraft. After the malfunctions are detected, the aircraft must undergo additional checks. According to Wizz Air's financial report, the airline will ground at least 45 aircraft by the end of the first quarter of 2024, which is almost 20% of its existing fleet.

You can buy train, bus or plane tickets between cities around the world, as well as view timetables and compare prices through Visit Ukraine's convenient booking service. The website has a bonus points system that allows you to travel much cheaper.

Wizz Air flight cuts planned

Passengers at Wrocław, Katowice, and Kraków airports will experience the biggest reduction in flights. The following flights will be cancelled from April 2024:

1. From Wrocław to Kutaisi, Valencia, Dubrovnik, Burgas, Rhodes, Dortmund, Birmingham;

2. From Katowice to Bergen, Oslo-Torp, Aqaba, Brussels-Charleroi, Castellón, Ibiza;

3. From Kraków to Kutaisi, Stockholm, Valencia, Catania, Burgas, Birmingham, Leeds;

4. From Warsaw to Birmingham, Marrakech, Agadir;

5. From Gdańsk to Kutaisi.

In addition to cancellations, some flights from Poland scheduled under the new schedule are also expected to be delayed. For example, flights to some new destinations will be available in June 2024 rather than April.
