On April 2, the government adopted a resolution "On Amendments to the Rules for Crossing the State Border by Citizens of Ukraine."  According to the press service of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, male students enrolled in full-time education will be able to leave Ukraine, but under certain conditions. Read more about the changes below.

New border crossing rules for male students

Due to the martial law imposed on the territory of Ukraine, until now only girls could participate in academic mobility programs. However, according to the new decree, male students aged 18 to 22 (i.e. those who are not subject to military service during mobilization) will also be able to cross the border to go to study. In order to participate in the program, a male student must:

– study full-time at a Ukrainian higher education institution of state or municipal ownership and obtain a bachelor's degree (master's degree in a certain field, namely medical, pharmaceutical or veterinary)

– participate in educational academic mobility;

– go to study at a foreign educational institution for 1 semester.

We remind you! The current martial law in Ukraine restricts the right to travel for men of military age (18 to 60 years old).
