Khortytsia National Reserve in Zaporizhzhia is open: details

It is known that earlier the regional defense council decided to close the reserve for the duration of the full-scale conflict with russia.

However, from now on, visitors again have free access to three key places in the reserve - the Unity Mound, the Cossack Circle, and the Zaporizhzhia Sich historical and cultural complex.

“Now you can enjoy the beauty of Khortytsia without any obstacles: walk along the Taras Shevchenko trail, walk along the road to the Sich and stop at the two-meter-high iron trident,” the report says.

It is emphasized that the Unity Mound has the tallest flagpole in Zaporizhzhia region with the flag of Ukraine, which visitors should pay attention to. Signs are placed nearby. Guided tours will also start soon.

“These will be historical tours related to the Cossack era,” the museum says.

In addition, it is noted that in the near future the reserve will open a shelter where you can take refuge in case of air raid.
