The week of the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 starts on 7 May in Malmö. On this day, the first semi-final will take place, featuring the Ukrainian duo Jerry Heil and Alyona Alyona with the song "Teresa & Maria". 

Who made it to the final?

According to the results of the audience vote, representatives of the following countries made it to the final of Eurovision 2024:

1. Cyprus

2. Serbia

3. Lithuania

4. Ireland

5. Ukraine

6. Slovenia

7. Croatia

8. Finland

9. Portugal

10. Luxembourg

At the same time, the following countries dropped out of the competition: Australia, Moldova, Poland, Azerbaijan and Iceland.

When will the second semi-final and grand final take place?

The second semi-final will take place on 9 May, the grand final will be held on 11 May and will be attended by 26 teams - 10 from the first semi-final, 10 from the second, representatives of the Big Five and the host country, Sweden.

The performances will be streamed on several platforms: the Eurovision website; the Eurovision Ukraine YouTube channel; the Suspilne Kultura TV channel; and the Facebook pages of Eurovision Ukraine, UA:PBC, Suspilne Mіlnuvannya, Suspilne Kultura, and Pervyi.

Voting rules

As you know, you can vote for your country only if you are not on its territory. That is, if you are in Ukraine and vote for the Ukrainian duo, your vote will not be counted. At the same time, people who are in one of the countries whose representatives are participating in the contest can vote for Ukraine.

What are Ukraine's chances at this year's Eurovision Song Contest?

It is worth noting that Ukrainian representatives have never been eliminated at the semi-final stage, and in 2022, the Ukrainian band Kalush won the contest with the song "Stefania", scoring a record number of points in the history of Eurovision.

After the first semi-final, bookmakers also predict good results for Ukraine. According to bookmakers, Croatia is likely to win this year's Eurovision Song Contest. The second place is predicted to go to Switzerland. "The bookmakers give the bronze medal to Angelina Mango from Italy.

Ukraine is predicted to take 4th place, but it is worth noting that the forecasts can change dramatically. Also, bookmakers cannot have accurate data on fan votes, which are very important for winning the contest.
