In the Kyiv region, there are many places for interesting recreation with children - entertainment complexes, eco-parks, farms, recreation centers and cozy hotels. Therefore, we have prepared for you a list of places where you can have fun with children near Kyiv. Let's talk further.

Ethnographic complex "Ukrainian village"

A bright place for family vacations was located in the village of Buzova, Kyiv region. In the thematic complex are:

- An open-air museum, the exposition of which includes authentic old houses of the 19th century from different regions of Ukraine. Near the houses are located: an active Orthodox church made of wood, a pottery, a butter factory and a forge.

- Zoo and ostrich farm - here children will be able to meet peacocks, sheep, donkeys, rabbits and other birds and domestic animals.

- Restaurant of national Ukrainian cuisine. You can also rent summer gazebos with tables on the territory of the complex.

- A hotel with standard rooms for recreation and ethno-huts, where you can really feel the flavor of an ancient Ukrainian village.

Park "Kyivska Rus"

The theme country park "Kyivska Rus" is located near the villages of Kopachiv and Zastignuta in the Kyiv region. Here, on 10 hectares, the historical central part of Kyiv (Dytynets), which existed in the period of the V-XIII centuries, is recreated. The museum exposition presents:

- A collection of equipment that was used during the siege of fortifications.

- Shipbuilding Museum of the Kyivan Rus period;

- Terem Yaroslav - a three-story wooden building decorated with carvings, where an exhibition of historical costumes is located.

- Defensive structures – earth ramparts, deep ditches, wooden log cabins covered with earth, etc.

Show programs and festivals are held here every weekend and on holidays. Guests can learn pottery and blacksmithing, learn fencing, archery and ride a horse. In addition to entertainment, the park offers delicious food prepared according to recipes of medieval and national cuisine.

Mezhihirya National Park

Visiting a museum of retro cars, talking to wild animals, riding a bicycle on shady paths, riding a horse, having a picnic on the grass - a great program for a weekend with children to enjoy family communication in the fresh air.

Eco-complex "Valley of Ostriches"

An ostrich farm is located 30 minutes from Kyiv, where you can look at unusual birds and take part in entertainment for the whole family, because the complex includes:

- A small zoo with ponies, donkeys, pigs, peacocks and other animals.

- A restaurant where you can taste ostrich meat.

- Various attractions for children and adults - trampolines, shooting range, archery and others.

On weekends, tastings are held in the eco-complex. Also visit the specialty store and buy ostrich eggs, meat, feathers, or a farmer's basket with natural products: cheese, wine, fresh meat, sausages.

Zoo "Twelfth Months"

"XII months" is probably one of the best places for family vacation near Kyiv. Many exotic animals live here, some of which children can even feed, for example, raccoons, monkeys and horses.

Also on the territory of the complex there are areas for entertainment, children's playgrounds, a lake for fishing and numerous places for recreation. Tourists can have lunch after the walk in a local restaurant.

Landscape park in the village of Buki

A very beautiful landscape park is located in the village of Buky near Kyiv. At the entrance, tourists are greeted by a large fountain that used to decorate the Maidan in Kyiv. A little further away is the temple complex, which consists of a bell tower and a church. In a small zoo, you can see bears, deer, wolves, etc. There is also a restaurant, stone benches, and a parking place.

Arboretum Dobropark

A dendrological park with an area of 300 hectares, located 29 km from Kyiv. The park was first opened in 2020 and is a location for family holidays, exhibitions, concerts, festivals and other mass cultural events. There is also a swimming pool in summer.

Depending on the season, different plants bloom here. For example, tulip season is now in the park, and the lavender blooming period will begin in June.

The territory of the park is very large, so you will need several hours to go around it all.

Recreation center "Golden Pheasant"

A truly heavenly place for recreation with children is located 130 km from Kyiv. Peacocks, pelicans, camels, monkeys - more than 30 animals and 100 birds feel like real owners at the "Golden Pheasant" base. Fishing and water activities are also organized on the lake. There is a playground for children. The cottages provide good conditions for staying with children, and the cafe serves delicious meals.
