Ternopil is one of the most beautiful and cozy cities of Ukraine, which is impossible not to fall in love with. Tourist Ternopil attracts travelers with its compactness, in particular, the historical center with all the details can be explored literally in half a day - this is a big plus. Interesting architecture, which is preserved as a single historical canvas, lively, youthful atmosphere and moderate prices - all these are important arguments in favor of Ternopil.

When planning a trip to Ternopil, travelers often ask themselves where to stay in the city. Given the large number of tourist facilities and good conditions for recreation and accommodation, it is difficult to choose the best area.

In which district of Ternopil should a tourist rent an apartment? What to see near the hotel? Let's talk further.

Central district

The main attraction of the central district of Ternopil is the Ternopil Pond. Few people know that Ternopil is the only city in Ukraine and one of the few in the world where there is an artificial pond right in the center. Its area is more than 300 hectares. Today, Ternopil's pond is a recreation area for the population and an area for sports competitions and training.

Also, the main attractions of the city, theaters, numerous cafes and restaurants are located in the central area. Living in this area means being close to all the central squares, where the main attractions of the city are located and various cultural events are held.

- What to see? Ternopil Pond, Ternopil Castle, Ternopil Academic Regional Ukrainian Drama Theater named after T. G. Shevchenko, Arch-Cathedral Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception of the Holy Mother of God UGCC, Monument to Solomia Krushelnytska.

Railway station area

It will be cheaper to rent housing in the area of the railway station than in the very center. The main reason for the low cost is the distance from the historical center - 10-15 minutes on foot.

However, the area also has certain advantages, in particular the proximity to the railway station, especially for those who stop in the city in transit. Also, here you can find a large selection of well-renovated housing at affordable prices. There are also many shops nearby.

- What to see? Station building.

- Where to stay? Hotel Hostel Rooms, apartments for rent.
