How to restore documents at the Civil Registry Office remotely?
In order to restore documents on your own, you will need to prepare a corresponding application, submit a request to the registry office, and then arrange for the document to be delivered abroad. Here is the sequence you should follow:
1. Prepare the necessary information. To apply to the registry office, you need to know the basic information about the document:
● Full name of the person for whom the document was issued.
● Date and place of registration of the act (birth, marriage, etc.).
● The number of the entry in the registry book (if any).
2. Submit a request to the registry office. The request can be submitted:
● Through an authorized person in Ukraine (relative, friend or lawyer).
● Through a consular office of Ukraine abroad.
Important: in some cases, you will need a power of attorney legalized or apostilled in the country of your residence.
3. Pay the state fee. Payment can be made through banking institutions in Ukraine or remotely through electronic payment systems.
4. Receive the document and organize delivery abroad. You can receive the renewed document in person or through an authorized representative. Delivery is carried out by mail (for example, Ukrposhta, DHL, FedEx). To do this, you need to agree on an international shipment and provide the correct address information.
