The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has made important changes to the traffic rules that will simplify the process of processing minor traffic accidents. Drivers can now do without calling the police in certain cases.

What has changed?

According to the government decree, the police no longer need to be called in an accident if:

▪️ Only two vehicles were involved in the accident.

▪️ No one was injured and no damage was caused to the life and health of the participants.

▪️ Damage is limited to damage to vehicles only.

These innovations are aimed at simplifying the processing of minor accidents and reducing the workload of law enforcement officers.

How does it work?

Drivers involved in an accident can make a report of the incident to the insurance company themselves. This can be done:

- In paper form.

- In electronic form.

After filing such a report, drivers have the right to leave the scene without notifying the National Police.

It is important to remember: to use this option, drivers must have valid civil liability insurance policies or other types of insurance, for example, Mini Hull insurance.

By the way, these types of insurance can be purchased in a few clicks on the Visit Ukraine portal using the following links - MTPL | Mini Hull insurance.
