The war has a significant impact on the mental health of Ukrainians, and now more than ever it is important to understand the main challenges facing society. Learn more about the important social research that will help assess the level of anxiety, depression and PTSD among the population
Ukrainians face challenges affecting their mental health every day. The war has brought significant changes to everyone's lives, and it is important to obtain reliable information about the state of psychological health of the population.
Understanding the current level of anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic disorders will help to effectively develop support and psychological assistance programs.
How does the war affect the psychological state of Ukrainians?
Visit Ukraine recently received a request from a foreigner conducting social research in Ukraine.
So, we invite you to join an important survey conducted by volunteer and combat medic Megan Miner in cooperation with the organization Angels for Ukraine. The study is aimed at analyzing the state of mental health of Ukrainians during the war, identifying the main problems faced by the population, and developing effective psychological support programs.
Megan has extensive experience in emergency medicine and volunteer projects. She has repeatedly worked on the front line as a combat medic and believes that her mission is not only to save lives in the war zone, but also to help people cope with the consequences of war on a psychological level. This project is her initiative in cooperation with international mental health experts.
Why is it important?
The results of this study will help to
- Estimate the prevalence of anxiety, depression, and PTSD among Ukrainians;
- Identify the main psychological challenges faced by different social groups;
- Compare the psychological state depending on gender, age, and proximity to the combat zone;
- Determine the level of influence of childhood trauma on the current emotional state;
- Develop the necessary resources and programs to support the mental health of Ukrainians.

How does the survey work?
The survey is available in three language versions - Ukrainian, English, and Russian - to maximize coverage and make it accessible to all. It is important for respondents to complete the survey in their native language, as psychological tests have specific language features.
The questionnaire contains:
- Demographic questions (age, gender, place of residence, distance to the combat zone);
- Questionnaires to assess the level of anxiety, depression and PTSD;
- A set of questions about the impact of childhood trauma on mental health in adulthood.
Filling out the questionnaire will take 10-15 minutes, and all answers are anonymous. The study is conducted on a voluntary basis.
How can I participate?
The survey is available here.
Your input will help us create effective support programs for everyone who needs it.
The more people who participate, the more accurate the survey results will be. We invite you to share the link with your friends and acquaintances to make this project even more useful for the Ukrainian community.

Together we can make a difference!
We remind you! Earlier, we wrote that US citizens are massively hanging black flags to protest Donald Trump's statements. Europe has a similar policy - “do not talk about Ukraine without Ukraine.” Find out how people in different countries support the Ukrainian state and how you can join in supporting Ukraine without coming to Ukraine in person.
