Discounted ride in all cities of Germany: how to use

The German authorities decided to motivate citizens and tourists to use public transport against the background of the energy crisis in Europe. For this purpose, from June 1, a special travel pass for 9 euros began to operate.
The owner of such a monthly ticket will be able to use some types of transport an unlimited number of times.
What kind of transport is covered by the pass?
The ticket is valid for the public transport of the ÖPNV company (buses, metro, trams, electric trains). Having bought a pass for 9 euros, you can travel within the city, as well as suburban and intercity connections.
The pass does not apply to Intercity (IEC and IC), EuroCity (EC), Thalys and FlixTrain high-speed trains.
In which cities does the pass work?
This ticket is valid in all cities in Germany with an unlimited number of rides.
But it cannot be used abroad. If you are traveling on an international route, after crossing the border you will need to buy a second ticket.
Where can I buy the travel card?
You can buy a ticket in machines or ticket offices, in the DB Navigator application or online on the Deutsche Bahn (DB) website.
It is important
The travel pass is valid for a calendar month. That is, if you bought a ticket on July 17, expect that it will be valid until July 31, not August 17.
It is also necessary to have documents confirming the identity, because travel cards in Germany are personal.
The offer to buy travel tickets for 9 euros will be valid only until September.
