From September 1, public transport fares will increase in Germany: What will change for Ukrainian refugees

Travel prices in Germany will remain stable only until the end of summer. On September 1, the era will end when you could buy a ticket for 9 euros and use all transport services for a month.
From June 1, the railway carrier Deutsche Bahn suggested special tariffs. Now, according to the coworkers of the company, the prices will increase. For example, in Stuttgart and its surroundings, moving will cost 4.9% more. In Nuremberg the fare will be 3% higher. in July in the Rhine-Main region the price increased by 3.9%.
Perhaps summer tickets will be replaced by winter tickets. If in the summer it was enough to pay 9 Euros per month for the use of all types of transport, now it is possible that the fare will increase by 60 euros. The final decision on the implementation of the initiative has not yet been made. Some carriers are in favor of extending the validity of their summer passes until the end of October. This would make it possible to find a solution that is profitable for both passengers and transport companies. It is also possible that winter tickets will cost 29 or 49 euros.
We would like to remind that holders of temporary protection status can receive financial assistance in the amount of up to €449 . A person living together with a partner in a Bedarfsgemeinschaft receives €404. Refugees who live with friends or relatives are entitled to only €360. A child under the age of five can receive €289. Subtract from this amount at least 49 euros for transportation costs - and there is not much left from the living budget.
