Weaknesses noted in the ranking

The limitations include the lack of submarines and large combat ships — aircraft carriers, frigates, corvettes and destroyers, as well as its own tankers. The disadvantages also include high consumption of coal, oil and gas, which affects energy stability in the long term.

Ukraine's neighbours in the ranking

In the overall list, Ukraine is ranked alongside Spain (18th), Egypt (19th), Poland (21st) and Taiwan (22nd), which highlights its comparable military potential with a number of regional states.
