New rules for obtaining a passport abroad for men

From 07/24/2024, separate foreign branches of SE Dokument resumed accepting applications for passport documents for men.

Importantly! From now on, in order to receive services, the specified category of citizens must verify through the official application of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine "Rezerv+" using a QR code. Confirmation of valid military registration documents is mandatory.

Thus, in order to receive the corresponding service, men need to provide a standard package of documents (defined for persons aged 16 and over) and supplement it with the generated QR code.

You can submit an application to receive documents at any branch of SE "Dokument" abroad.

Please note! The Cabinet of Ministers has simplified the military registration procedure for Ukrainians abroad. Details are available at the link.

Term of production and receipt

The period of passport production is from 3 to 20 working days depending on the administrative fee paid by the applicant. Under martial law, the delivery time of a manufactured passport is 6 to 9 days and may be delayed up to 3 weeks.

The foreign document produced and delivered to the Embassy or Consulate is kept in the institution for up to 1 year, after which the unreceived document will be destroyed.

A national or foreign passport issued on the territory of Ukraine can be issued only in person and only by the authority to which the documents were submitted (such documents are not issued through the Embassy).

How much does it cost?

Each country has its own currency, but the prices in the equivalent of hryvnia are almost everywhere the same. For example, in Germany, the total cost of a passport for children under 16 years of age is 37 euros, for adults (aged 16 and older) - 120 euros.
