European low-cost airline Wizz Air has continued to cancel flights to several popular destinations due to the escalating security situation in the Middle East. The restrictions affect flights to Israel, the United Arab Emirates, and Jordan. This was reported by Express, citing a statement from the airline.

Which flights has Wizz Air canceled?

Due to the escalation of tensions in the region, Wizz Air has confirmed the suspension of all flights to and from the following destinations: Israel, Dubai (UAE), Abu Dhabi (UAE), and Amman (Jordan).

These destinations have been temporarily removed from the company's flight schedule. The decision was made after the security situation in Iran worsened and tensions in the Middle East increased overall.

According to company representatives, the main reason was the need to ensure the safety of passengers and crews.

How long will the restrictions remain in place?

Wizz Air's flight cancellations will remain in effect until Sunday, March 15.

The airline initially planned to suspend flights only until March 7, but due to the fact that the conflict in the region shows no signs of de-escalation, the period of restrictions has been extended.

The company's statement notes that the decision may change depending on how the situation develops.

What does Wizz Air say?

A spokesperson for the airline explained that the decision was made after analyzing the security situation:

“Wizz Air confirms that following the recent escalation of the security situation in Iran, the airline is suspending all flights to and from Israel, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Amman until March 15, pending structural changes to the schedule reflecting reduced demand.”

At the same time, the company clarified that flights to Saudi Arabia are scheduled to resume on March 8 in accordance with the current schedule.

The airline emphasizes that it is constantly monitoring the situation in cooperation with international authorities and aviation security agencies.

Passengers are advised to check the schedule before traveling

Wizz Air notes that the flight schedule may change depending on developments in the Middle East. Therefore, passengers are advised to check the status of flights and possible alternative routes in advance.
