Due to the increase in passenger traffic in late March and early April, Ukrzaliznytsia announced the addition of extra trains and the expansion of routes. This will make it easier for Ukrainians to plan their trips during this period of high demand.

Additional trains on March 29

On the peak date of March 29, the carrier is launching several additional trains between the most popular destinations:

Train No. 220/219 Kyiv – Dnipro

Train No. 289/290 Kyiv – Lviv

Train No. 168/167 Lviv – Odesa

All services will operate from both the departure and return stations.

Additional services on March 30–31

Over the next two days, March 30 and 31, another additional train will run:

No. 243/244 Kyiv – Lviv (in both directions)

These trips will help relieve congestion on the popular western route, especially ahead of the start of the tourist season.

Ukrzaliznytsia notes that the additional trains will include sleeper cars adapted for passenger transport in a seated configuration. This format allows for the transportation of more passengers during peak periods.

That is why it’s worth planning your trip in advance and booking seats immediately after sales open. By the way, if you need to quickly check seat availability or find alternative routes, it’s convenient to do so via the Visit Ukraine ticket booking system—it allows you to compare different transportation options and choose the best route without unnecessary searching.

Schedule:

Departure from Kyiv — at 10:00 PM, arrival in Yaremche — at 8:30 AM

Return: departure from Yaremche — at 9:00 AM, arrival in Kyiv — at 7:54 PM

The train will run daily, except on April 5, 6, 7, 20, 21, and 22—track maintenance is scheduled on these days.

Convenient connections to the Carpathians

For passengers planning to travel further into the Carpathians, convenient connections are available:

Regional Train No. 812/811 Yaremche – Vorokhta has been launched

The schedule is coordinated with the Kyiv – Yaremche train, allowing for quick transfers in both directions.

Schedule:

From Yaremche — at 08:50, arrival in Vorokhta — at 09:24

Return: from Vorokhta — at 07:32, arrival in Yaremche — at 08:10

The train will run on the following dates in April:

the 3rd–5th, 9th–12th, 19th, and 27th–29th.

Thanks to the addition of extra trains and extended routes, passengers will have more options for comfortable travel across Ukraine during periods of high demand.
