Fuel prices in Ukraine may drop significantly in the near future. This is due to falling prices on global oil markets, which are already beginning to affect the domestic market. Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko reported this on her Telegram channel.

Why are fuel prices falling in Ukraine?

According to the government, leading international oil exchanges are seeing a steady decline in oil prices, which directly affects the cost of gasoline and diesel in Ukraine. Following a meeting with Serhiy Koretskyi, Chairman of the Board of Naftogaz of Ukraine, the Prime Minister noted that this trend should also be reflected at Ukrainian gas stations.

“We are seeing a decline in prices on major exchanges, which should directly affect fuel prices in Ukraine,” Svyrydenko emphasized.

The state-owned Ukrnafta gas station chain has already begun lowering fuel prices. This indicates that the market is gradually responding to global changes, and the process of price reductions has already begun. The government expects other operators to also respond to the new market situation and revise their pricing.

When can we expect a significant drop in fuel prices?

As the Prime Minister notes, a more noticeable price reduction is possible if the current trend in global oil markets continues. If prices continue to fall, Ukrainian drivers will see a real decrease in the cost of gasoline and diesel in the very near future.

In addition to the price issue, the government assures that the fuel supply situation remains stable. March saw record supply volumes over the past five years, indicating no shortage in the market. This positive trend is expected to continue in April.
