The amount of financial assistance provided by the UN to Ukrainians has increased to 12,300 UAH per person over three months. Not everyone will receive these payments—a selection process is in place based on vulnerability and the impact of the war. Learn more about who is eligible for assistance and how to apply
The amount of financial assistance provided by the UN to Ukrainians in 2026 has been increased—it now amounts to 12,300 UAH per person for three months. The program is designed to support people affected by the war, particularly those who have lost their homes or were forced to flee. At the same time, payments remain targeted—only those who meet specific vulnerability criteria receive them.
Who is eligible for UN assistance?
The program is designed for people who have been most severely affected by the war or find themselves in difficult living conditions. Payments are not distributed on a mass scale—they are provided to specific categories of the population following a verification process.
1. People who were forced to leave due to the war
2. Those affected by shelling or who have lost their homes
3. The wounded or families of the deceased
4. Internally displaced persons and those who have returned home or from abroad
5. Vulnerable groups: low-income individuals, large families, people with disabilities

How are recipients determined, and how do you apply?
Assistance is provided on a targeted basis—priority is given to those in the most difficult circumstances. When reviewing applications, officials consider not only the fact of displacement or housing damage but also the family’s overall level of vulnerability.
During the selection process, income, household composition, living conditions, and the security situation in the region are assessed. These factors directly influence the decision to grant payments.
To receive assistance, you must register in the relevant program and verify your status. After data verification, an individual decision is made regarding the allocation of payments.
There is no online registration via a single website—you can submit an application through registration points or partner organizations operating in your region.
