You can now transfer ownership of a car purchased on AUTO.RIA entirely online via the Diya app — no lines or paperwork required. Find out who can use the service, what documents are needed, and how the process works for both the buyer and the seller
Buying or selling a car through AUTO.RIA no longer requires a trip to the Ministry of Internal Affairs service center. You can transfer vehicle ownership entirely online — right in the Diia app. This was noted on the official website diia.gov.ua.
The entire process takes place on your smartphone: verifying data, signing the contract, and receiving a new vehicle registration certificate — without paper documents or wasted time. The service is available for passenger cars, motorcycles, and mopeds and is provided to individuals once a year.

After completing the transfer, don’t forget about insurance: compulsory motor vehicle liability insurance is a mandatory document for every car owner in Ukraine. You can quickly and conveniently purchase it online through Visit Ukraine.
We remind you! The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine is preparing a large-scale reform of driving schools, which will change the rules for accreditation, instructor certification, and driver training. Read what will change for driving school students, when the new rules may take effect, and how the reform will affect obtaining a driver’s license.
