Parents of children aged 1 to 3 will soon be able to apply for the monthly “eYasla” subsidy directly from their smartphones via the “Diya” app. The service will launch in the first half of summer 2026, according to Valeria Koval, Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation, in a comment to RBC-Ukraine.

“This is also one of the services that will be launched in the near future, in the first half of the summer,” the ministry representative noted.

Who can apply for “eYasla”?

The new service will be available to the mother, father, or legal guardian of a child aged 1 to 3 years. A mandatory requirement for receiving the payment is official full-time employment at the time of application.

Thus, the service is primarily aimed at working parents who are returning or have already returned to work and need support to cover the costs of caring for a young child.

What is the payment amount?

The monthly allowance under the “eYasla” program is 8,000 hryvnias per child. If the child has a disability, a multiplier of 1.5 is applied to the base amount—and the payment increases to 12,000 hryvnias per month.

How do you receive the money, and what can it be spent on?

The funds are not deposited into a regular bank account but into a special “Diya.Card” account—you can open it with just a few clicks directly in the app. The funds received may only be spent on the child’s specific needs in accordance with the list of MCC codes approved by a government resolution.

We remind you! Ukraine has abolished the mandatory use of a paper identification code. Now, the electronic RNUKPN on a smartphone has full legal force for any institution. Read how to correctly share your TIN via “Diya” and whether you can permanently discard your old certificate.

asked questions
What are MCC codes, and how can you tell exactly what you can spend your “eYasla” payment on?
MCC codes (Merchant Category Codes) are numerical codes used in the banking system to identify merchant categories. The government has approved a specific list of such codes for the “eYasla” payment, which means: funds can only be spent at establishments and on goods or services that fall under the permitted categories—for example, baby food, clothing, medical services for children, etc. The current list of MCC codes is contained in the relevant resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers.
