The Russian military command is preparing to relocate the remaining command structures of the Black Sea Fleet from occupied Sevastopol to Russian territory—specifically to Novorossiysk. This was reported on 14 June by representatives of the ‘ATESH’ partisan movement, who noted that the covert evacuation process had already begun.

Explosions in Sevastopol: why is Russia relocating its headquarters

The decision to relocate the fleet’s structures was a direct consequence of sustained fire pressure on the occupiers’ military infrastructure. The catalyst for these developments was the events of 27 May, when the Ukrainian Defence Forces delivered a precision strike using Storm Shadow missiles against the software and hardware complexes of the Russian air force. According to underground sources, the Black Sea Fleet’s aviation headquarters on Gogol Street in Sevastopol was successfully struck at that time.

Following these strikes, the logistical situation for Russian forces became significantly more difficult. Remaining on the peninsula became dangerous not only for ships but also for senior command personnel.

Families of occupying officers are leaving Crimea

Within the Russian Black Sea Fleet’s command structures, scenarios for the complete relocation of command bodies to Novorossiysk are being actively worked through. Against the backdrop of these plans, tension within the fleet command is rising rapidly.

Many Russian servicemen have decided not to wait for official orders. According to informants from within the Russian military itself, some officers are already dealing with the practicalities of moving on an individual basis. They are hastily selling their property, taking their families off the peninsula and settling into a new life in Novorossiysk.

The situation in Crimea today

Maintaining command structures and valuable equipment on the peninsula is becoming too costly and unjustifiably risky for Russian troops.

Judging by current trends, the coming months could be the toughest for the occupying forces in Crimea since the start of the full-scale war. Resistance representatives stress that they continue to closely monitor all enemy movements and record any changes in the command structure of Russia’s Black Sea Fleet.

It should be noted that one of the main routes used by Russia to supply its troops in occupied Crimea continues to come under attack from the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This refers to the Chongar area, which has played a key role in the transfer of equipment, ammunition and fuel to southern Ukraine since the start of the full-scale war, said Serhiy Bratchuk, press secretary of the Ukrainian Volunteer Army, during a televised broadcast.

Chongar is just one of the targets. Ukraine is also attacking facilities that supply the Russian army with fuel, ammunition and other resources. According to him, railway junctions, oil depots, warehouses and enterprises serving Russia’s military needs are under attack.

Remember! Russia’s hypersonic weapons have become a new challenge to Ukraine’s security. Zircon missiles reach their targets in a matter of minutes at speeds of up to Mach 7.5, leaving air defence systems with minimal time to react and intercept them. Find out how many such missiles Russia has stockpiled and why Patriots are critical for their destruction.
