Starting June 28, 2026, the international train No. 351/352 “Bessarabia,” which connects Kyiv and Chisinau, will switch to a daily schedule. This was announced by Oleksiy Kuleba, Deputy Prime Minister for the Recovery of Ukraine and Minister of Community and Territorial Development.

The Kyiv–Chisinau train will run daily: details

According to the official, the decision to switch to daily service was the result of long-term cooperation between Ukraine’s Ministry of Community and Territorial Development, Ukrzaliznytsia, and the Moldovan railway operator CFM.

The switch to a daily schedule will allow passengers to better plan their trips and will also make international rail service more stable and predictable.

The “Bessarabia” train will consist of open-seating and compartment cars. In addition, a specially equipped children’s car will make its maiden voyage.

The new car is designed for comfortable travel for families with children and is intended to provide more comfortable conditions during long journeys.

Departure time from Chisinau will change

Starting June 29, the schedule for the return trip will also be adjusted. The train will depart from Chisinau at 7:52 p.m. instead of 5:42 p.m.

The Ministry of Community and Territorial Development notes that the change in departure time will improve connections to other routes and make travel more comfortable for passengers.

Where to buy tickets?

Tickets for the Kyiv–Chisinau train are now available for purchase:

via the Ukrzaliznytsia mobile app;

on the carrier’s official website;

at train ticket offices.

Passengers are advised to book their seats in advance, especially during the summer vacation period and the peak tourist season.

The Kyiv–Chisinau train remains one of the most important international rail routes for Ukrainians. This is largely due to its convenient connection to the capital of Moldova, where Chisinau International Airport is located.

From the airport, passengers can continue their journey to dozens of cities in Europe and other countries around the world. That is why the route is actively used by both tourists and Ukrainians traveling for personal or business reasons.

The introduction of daily train service is expected to contribute to the further development of transportation links between Ukraine and Moldova and make international travel even more accessible.
