Do Ukrainians need a visa to enter Finland?
No, Ukrainians do not need a visa for short-term travel to Finland (up to 90 days within 180 days), provided you have a biometric passport. If you plan to stay in the country longer, you will need a residence permit.

What documents are required for Ukrainians to enter Finland?
Ukrainians need the following documents to enter Finland:
- Valid biometric passport (at least 6 months after the date of departure from the country)
- Medical insurance
- Proof of sufficient funds (count on 50 €/day to cover accommodation, food and other needs during your stay in the country)

For children:
- Biometric passport of the child.
- The child's birth certificate.
- If the child is traveling with one of the parents, no additional consent is required from the other. However, if the child is traveling with relatives or friends, a written consent of one of the parents, certified by a notary, is required.

Can I travel to Finland with pets?
Yes, you can bring pets with you to Finland, but there are some important rules:
- Your pet must be microchipped before being vaccinated against rabies. This is mandatory for identification purposes.
- The animal must have an up-to-date rabies vaccination. The vaccine must be given no earlier than the animal is 12 weeks old.
- After vaccination, an antibody test must be performed 30 days later. A blood sample is sent to an EU-accredited laboratory, and the result should be at least 0.5 IU/ml.
- After the test, the animal must stay in Ukraine for at least 3 months before traveling to the EU.
- Medicines for echinococcosis for dogs. If you are traveling with your dog, be sure to give him/her echinococcosis medication 1-5 days before entering Finland. This should be done by a veterinarian.
- It is important to have vaccination documents, antibody test results and a health certificate issued by the veterinary service of the country of origin with you.
- Number of animals. You can travel with a maximum of 5 pets.

Can I cross the border without a biometric passport?
Yes, it is possible to cross the border of Finland without a biometric passport, but in this case you will need to obtain a visa. The visa-free regime is valid only for holders of biometric passports.
What if my child does not have a biometric passport?
