How Ukrainians can get compensation for rent in Lithuania: required documents

Ukrainians living in Lithuania and renting housing can receive monetary compensation for rent. We tell you how to get funds.
Compensation partially covers housing rental costs, the amount is calculated according to the type and area of housing, location and number of people living there.
Who can receive monetary compensation for rent in Lithuania?
The right to cash payments is available to persons who:
- legally reside on the territory of Lithuania and rent housing corresponding to their place of registration
- do not own housing in Lithuania
- have a level of income that does not exceed a certain amount
How can Ukrainians obtain compensation for rent in Lithuania?
To apply for housing rental compensation in Lithuania, you need to contact the municipality of your place of residence. Contact details of the coordinators can be found here.
The following documents must be submitted to the municipality:
- a signed and declared rental agreement for at least 6 months;
- certificate of residence registration;
- residence permits for all family members;
- certificate of income;
- a bank account to which payments will be made;
- certificate from the migration department.
Pay attention! Compensation will be paid from the day of signing the rental agreement, but not earlier than the day of the application.
