The Polish luxury market showed growth in 2023. The wealthy citizens of Ukraine played an important role in this. Here's how much the Polish luxury market is currently valued at and what it mainly consists of.

Thus, last year, the Polish luxury goods market was valued at 42.4 billion zlotys, which is equivalent to about $10.8 billion, according to the audit report of KPMG.

What do luxury goods in Poland mainly consist of?

More than half of these items are cars. We are talking about premium and luxury cars.

Luxury hotels and spas were in second place, and clothing and accessories rounded out the top three. Overall, the growth of this market was 12.2%, which is higher than the inflation rate of 11.4%.

The auditors note that the growth of the Polish luxury market is partially influenced by wealthy Ukrainians.

In addition, the number of people earning more than 120 thousand zlotys a year has increased in Poland, even despite the increase in the tax threshold. However, more people began to overcome this salary threshold as wages in the country increased due to inflation.

Where do Ukrainians in Poland mostly work?

It is worth noting that since the beginning of the full-scale war, about 3 million Ukrainians have left for Poland. However, in two years, less than a million Ukrainian citizens have remained in this country. However, most of them managed to find work.

The overwhelming majority of employed Ukrainians work in industrial sectors, i.e., at various enterprises. Only about 4% of Ukrainian citizens found employment in narrow sectors.

There are also many Ukrainians who continue to do business in their homeland but prefer to live in Poland. This suggests that such people still make their main income in Ukraine.

It should also be borne in mind that after leaving for Poland, Ukrainians began to open individual businesses there. As of the first half of 2023, every tenth company established in Poland was Ukrainian.

We remind you! The summer season in Poland brings with it a wide range of temporary jobs. Entrepreneurs are actively looking for employees in various sectors. We will tell you about the most popular vacancies and how much you can earn here.
