The best places to stay in Chernivtsi: where to stay for tourists?
Chernivtsi is an architectural pearl of Ukraine, rich in cultural and tourist attractions, which attracts thousands of travelers every year. We tell you which areas of the city are better for tourists to stay in and what you can see near the hotel
Chernivtsi is the cultural and educational center of Ukraine and the architectural pearl of Bukovyna. The first written mention of Chernivtsi dates back to 1408. The city is 40 km from the Romanian border and boasts exquisite sights. Chernivtsi is also known as "Ukrainian Venice" or "little Paris". Every year, thousands of tourists from different parts of Ukraine and the world go to see local landscapes.
The question often arises before every traveler - where to stay in Chernivtsi. Given the large number of tourist facilities and good conditions for recreation and accommodation, it is difficult to choose the best area.
In which district of Chernivtsi should a tourist rent an apartment? Let's talk further.
Central district
The center of Chernivtsi is represented by the Central Square, formerly the Market Square or the Ring Square, which has been the heart of the city for almost two centuries. The square is really central - almost all the main streets of the city radiate from it like rays: Main, Ruska, Universitetska, I. Franka, O. Kobylyanska and others. Living in this area means being close to all the central squares, where the main attractions of the city are located and various cultural events are held.

Olga Kobylyanska Street
Olga Kobylyanska Street is perhaps the most beautiful street in the city, where many interesting restaurants, coffee shops, beauty salons, etc. are concentrated. There is a legend that the street was once so well maintained that it was swept only with bouquets of roses, the cobblestones were washed with soap every day, and visitors with dirty shoes were not allowed in at all. Today it is the main pedestrian street of the city and its business card. Hotels here are chosen by tourists who want to experience the full flavor of Chernivtsi.
- What to see? Drama Theater named after O. Kobylyanska, pharmacy-museum.
- Where to stay? Yard Hostel & Coffee, Pelican Guest House & Hostel and Apart Boutique on Kobylyanska.
