According to legend, the Chervonohrad castle was built in ancient Russian times and destroyed by the Mongol-Tatars. Lithuanian princes Koriatovych restored the wooden castle. In the early 17th century. Mykola Danylovych built a stone castle. From 1672 to 1699 the castle was occupied and destroyed by the Turks. In 1778, the ruins - two towers and elements of the walls - were bought by Prince K. Poninsky and rebuilt into a palace. Until 1939, the palace was home to Princess Lubomyrska.
Dzhurynskyi Waterfall, the highest waterfall in Podillia, has been given three names:
Dzhurynskyi (from the name of the river), Chervonohorodskyi (from the name of the ancient city) and Nyrkivskyi (from the name of the nearest village) and is 16 meters high.
The village of Kryvche is home to the most famous cave in Western Ukraine, the Crystal Cave. This cave is perhaps the only chance for people to visit a real cave - there are kilometers of passages, two of which are equipped for easy visits by tourists.
