The tasting tour "Taste of Transcarpathia" is not just a trip, but a real culinary adventure! Taste bograch, tokanu with bryndza, loci, gombowtsi with lekvar and other traditional dishes of Transcarpathia, reflecting the multinational roots of this region.

During the tour, you will not only enjoy the wonderful nature, castles and ancient wine cellars, but also immerse yourself in the unique taste of local cuisine, which combines the traditions of Hungarians, Romanians, Slovaks, Czechs and other peoples. Transcarpathian cuisine surprises with its diversity, as well as exquisite dishes that you will not find in other regions.


During the tour, you will also have the opportunity to enjoy wine and cheese tastings, as well as swim in vats and thermal pools. All this creates an unforgettable impression, and the taste of Transcarpathia will stay with you for a long time!


Tour program


Day 1


Transcarpathian cuisine


Arrival in Uzhgorod by morning train.

10:30 – meeting of tourists at the Uzhgorod railway station with a representative of the tour operator “Pro Karpaty”. Departure for an excursion.

– Transfer to the Voyevodyno resort. The most interesting excursion through the aristocratic park. A walk around Lake Tur.

– Bathing in vats. Unforgettable impressions!

– Transfer to Perechyn. Lunch-tasting of delicious dishes of Transcarpathian cuisine in the best ethno-gastronomic restaurant of Transcarpathia (included in the price!). If desired, you can order frog legs (frogs are collected in this area of Transcarpathia)

Return to Uzhgorod. Check-in to the hotel.


Day 2

Czech cuisine


Breakfast in the hotel restaurant.

Walking tour of Uzhhorod:

– the old city center;

– tour of Uzhhorod Castle;

– tour of the Transcarpathian Museum of Folk Architecture and Life.

– Lunch-tasting of Czech cuisine (included in the price!) in a restaurant.

– Linden Alley;

– tour of the “Czech Quarter” of the city;

– Wine-tasting game (included in the price!) – You will definitely like it!


Day 3

Tasting of Transcarpathian eco-cheeses


– Breakfast in the hotel restaurant.

– Departure for an excursion.

– The most interesting excursion with cheese tasting in the monastery refectory.

– Deer farm.

– Iza – wicker weaving center.

– Transfer to Nyzhne Selishche: tour of the cheese factory of a Ukrainian, Austrian and Frenchman: overview of the technological process and tasting of three varieties of Transcarpathian cheese in Swiss style with wine (included in the price!)

Lunch.

– Velyatyn. Swimming in healthy and pleasant thermal springs.

Return to Uzhgorod.


Day 4

Hungarian cuisine


– Breakfast in the hotel restaurant. Check-out from the rooms.

– Transfer to Kosino: swimming in thermal pools + a complex of “royal saunas”.

– Lunch-tasting in a Hungarian restaurant (included in the price!)

– Tour of Beregovo.

– 17:00 – transfer to the railway station of Mukachevo

– 8:00 – transfer to the railway station of Uzhgorod
