EU+ Air Transfer program: free flights for Ukrainians from Moldova to European countries
Ukrainians planning a flight within EU countries can use the "EU+ Air Transfers" program and get free plane tickets from Moldova. Learn more about how to participate
Refugees who have received temporary protection in Moldova have the opportunity to fly to European countries free of charge under the "EU+ Air Transfers" program, which is coordinated by the International Organization for Migration, UNHCR and the government of Moldova.
Within the framework of this program, Ukrainians are provided with air tickets to Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Ireland, Latvia, Liechtenstein, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain and Switzerland. We tell you how to get tickets and use free flights further.
All flights are organized on request, so participants must apply for participation in advance. Please note that you will be flying a commercial flight, but there is a possibility of a charter flight.
You can choose the country during registration.
Who can get free flights under the EU+ Air Transfers program?
This program is designed for refugees seeking temporary protection in European countries. You must belong to a certain category, namely:
• Persons who have relatives in EU countries and need help for reunification;
• refugees with disabilities or special needs;
• single parents with three or more children;
• pregnant women;
• elderly.
What documents are required to receive free tickets?
Ukrainians must have:
• passport;
• internal passport;
• a document on granting asylum in Moldova:
• a document on permanent residence in Ukraine.
People who need medical assistance or a wheelchair will be provided with the necessary support.

How to register for EU+ Air Transfers?
To register, follow these steps:
• Fill out the questionnaire;
• contact the UNHCR registration center;
• call the refugee hotline at 0 800-800-11.
After registration, you will be called to clarify information or be invited to a personal interview. Your data will be transferred to the country you have chosen for obtaining an entry permit.
The "EU+ Air Transfers" program is absolutely free.
Is it possible to choose the date of departure?
There is no such possibility. Your flight will be scheduled after the country you are going to informs about the availability of the place where you will be staying.
On average, the process from check-in to flight takes three weeks.

The simultaneous stay of visitors in the hotel lobby not more than one person per 10 square meters of serviceable area is allowed.
Persons can visit hotels and stay there (outside hotel room) only if they wear respirator or face mask (including homemade mask), so that the nose and mouth are covered.
Hotel guests are obliged to keep the 1.5 meters distance.
Online check-in making in advance is recommended to avoid queues at check-in to hotel.
Meals in hotels are provided through meals delivery service to rooms upon prior order or at hotel restaurants situated inside or in open areas, provided the distance of at least 1.5 meters between seats at adjacent tables.
Not more than 4 clients are allowed to stay at the table (excluding children under 14 years old). Unless these tables are separated by a special partition;
