How to buy Ukrzaliznytsia tickets for international routes? (updated)

Ukrainians and foreigners can travel between Ukraine and the European Union by train. Train services depart from a number of Ukrainian cities and are connected to various countries, including neighboring states. However, not all tickets can be purchased directly from Ukrzaliznytsia. So find out where and how to buy them

Over the past two years, Ukraine has significantly increased the number of international flights to neighboring countries and a number of European Union countries. We will tell you what flights are available and where to buy tickets.

It should be noted that most tickets can be purchased on the website or app of Ukrzaliznytsia, as well as through the company's chatbot. However, please note that some tickets may require verification through the Diia app.

Chełm

Train connections:

Tickets can be purchased in the chatbot, on the website of Ukrzaliznytsia and at the ticket office. You can also buy tickets on the website of the Polish company PKP.

Train connections:

— Train No. 63/64 “Kharkiv – Przemyśl – Kharkiv”.

— Train No. 69/70 “Kremenchuk – Przemyśl – Kremenchuk”.

— Train No. 51/52 “Kyiv – Przemyśl – Kyiv”.

— Train No. 89/90 “Kyiv – Przemyśl – Kyiv”.

— Intercity Train No. 715/716 “Kyiv – Przemyśl – Kyiv”.

— Train No. 705/706 Intercity “Kyiv – Przemyśl – Kyiv”.

Tickets are available at ticket offices and on the website of Ukrzaliznytsia, search for Warsaw-Wschodnia station.

Please note! Tickets for this train are very difficult to purchase due to high demand.

Vienna

Train connections:

— Train No. 749 “Kyiv–Vienna–Kyiv”;

— Train No. 146/143 “Chop–Vienna–Chop”.

Tickets are available in the UZ app (Google Pay / App Store) and at the ticket office. To purchase in the app, you will need verification via Diia.

Budapest, Záhony

Train connections:

— Train No. 31 “Mukachevo – Budapest-Nyugati – Mukachevo”.

Tickets are available at ticket offices, in the UZ app (Google Pay / App Store), and on the website of Hungarian railways (only for the section from the Ukrainian border).

Prague

Train connections:

— Train No. 715 “Kyiv – Vinnytsia – Khmelnytskyi – Ternopil – Przemyśl – Prague”.

— Train No. 63 “Kharkiv – Kyiv – Lviv – Przemyśl” and IC/EC 40417 “Przemyśl – Kraków – Katowice – Prague”.

— Train No. 051 “Kyiv – Przemyśl” and IC 1147 “Przemyśl – Kraków – Ostrava – Prague”.

Tickets are available at the UZ ticket office and the UZ app (Google Pay / App Store). Tickets for the flight “Chop - Prague” can also be purchased on the website of the carrier Regiojet.
