Lost driving licence can be restored abroad: the list of countries has been expanded
From now on, Ukrainians will be able to restore their lost driving licence in Germany and Italy. Find out more about how to use the service and where to apply
The Ministry of Internal Affairs announces the expansion of the list of countries in which Ukrainian drivers will be able to restore their driving licence after losing it. We will tell you in this article which countries this function is now available in and where to apply for the restoration of the document.
Restoring a lost driving licence in Germany and Spain: details
As reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, it is now possible to restore a lost Ukrainian driving licence at the Passport Service service centres in Germany and Spain.
Service centres of the State Enterprise "Document" in Germany:
● Berlin, Am Treptower Park 14, (2nd floor);
● Cologne, Wroclaw Square, 50668.
Service centres of SE "Document" in Spain:
● City of Madrid, C. Adolfo Bioy Casares, 2, 28051 (car park of the commercial centre LA GAVIA);
● City of Valencia, Xàtiva metro station (car park opposite the entrance to Estació del Nord station).

What documents are required to restore a lost ID?
● Passport of a citizen of Ukraine with the place of registration indicated;
● Certificate of assignment of a taxpayer registration number (if this information is not available on the ID card or in the databases of the Ministry of Internal Affairs).
It is noted that in case of change of personal data, a document confirming this procedure must be provided.
Earlier, the service of restoring a lost driving licence was launched in Poland. Ukrainians can apply to the centres of the State Enterprise "Document" in Warsaw, Krakow, Gdansk and Wroclaw.

When planning a trip abroad or already being there by your own car, it is important not only to prepare the necessary documents and check the technical condition of the car, but also to take care of insurance, because the Ukrainian policy of OSAGO is not valid abroad.

The simultaneous stay of visitors in the hotel lobby not more than one person per 10 square meters of serviceable area is allowed.
Persons can visit hotels and stay there (outside hotel room) only if they wear respirator or face mask (including homemade mask), so that the nose and mouth are covered.
Hotel guests are obliged to keep the 1.5 meters distance.
Online check-in making in advance is recommended to avoid queues at check-in to hotel.
Meals in hotels are provided through meals delivery service to rooms upon prior order or at hotel restaurants situated inside or in open areas, provided the distance of at least 1.5 meters between seats at adjacent tables.
Not more than 4 clients are allowed to stay at the table (excluding children under 14 years old). Unless these tables are separated by a special partition;
Self-serve is not allowed.
