Pegasus Airlines hand luggage rules

On domestic flights in Turkey, the rules for the transportation of hand luggage will remain almost unchanged. Passengers will still be allowed to take one item up to 55x40x20 cm in size, but according to the new rules, its weight should not exceed 8 kg.

At the same time, the updated rules will apply to international flights and will also be applied to passengers with a ticket with a transfer between domestic and international flights. Thus, starting from February 14, the rules for hand luggage will look like this

– Light fare - minimum hand luggage with dimensions up to 40x30x15 cm and weight up to 3 kg;

– Saver plus and Comfort flex Saver fare - two pieces of hand luggage: one item with dimensions up to 55x40x20 cm and weighing up to 8 kg and the second item with dimensions up to 40x30x15 cm and weighing up to 3 kg.

Who is not covered by the new rules?

Passengers who purchased tickets for flights before February 13, 2024 will be able to carry hand luggage on any flights under the old rules. That is, they will be allowed to take one item up to 55x40x20 cm in size without weight restrictions.

At the same time, those passengers who booked tickets from February 14, 2024 will have the new rules described above.

What are the penalties for exceeding the hand luggage allowance?

According to the updated rules, passengers who take more items in their hand luggage, or if the weight and dimensions of their hand luggage exceed the specified limits, will be subject to fines.

For each item that does not meet the fare standards, the fine will be 50 euros.

We remind you! Using the services of low-cost airlines, you will not only save money on your flight, but you will also have to follow clear rules for the transportation of hand luggage.
